It says in the description tht this egg slicer makes matchsticks. Has anyone tried this with eggs for egg salad???

The problem with this slicer is that you can only lay the egg in one direction regardless of which slicing edge you want to use. To dice the egg, you need to be able to slice the egg with it laid in the cradle and then be able to turn it 90 degrees to slice it again in the other direction but the cradle does not allow you to do that.
