Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • Kosher salt and fresh pepper to taste
  • 3 bacon slices, chopped



Procedure

Fill water tank with water. Place Brussels sprouts in steamer basket(s). Season with salt and pepper. Cover steamer and set timer to 6 minutes.

Steam for 5 to 6 minutes, or until just tender. When steaming is complete, place steamer basket(s) on a towel to drain.

In a saucepan over medium heat, sauté the bacon until slightly crisp. Remove all but 1 tablespoon of bacon grease, leaving the bacon in the pan.

With the pan still warm, add the Brussels sprouts and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
